Raizo Chapter 2

Raizo sat in his office, a look of worry crinkled upon his features. He stared at the folder housing the grants contact. Where they worthy? They had said he was the prime model, building up our community to be future leaders. But that was a lie. A lie he would rectify.

He picked up the phone, and began to dial.

Suddenly, Miss Anamia's pleasant voice was over the intercom. "Sir, Hideo and Kyoko are here to see you....."

Raizo bahed angrily, slamming the phone shut. "Blast! Send them in!"

Hideo and Kyoko went up the steps, a bit cautiously. They had ample experience of Raizo when he was upset. Anamia herself also looked distraught upon seeing the duo, and buzzed them in while looking away. Taking in a deep breathe, they strode into the intermingling brown office housing the school's president, Raizo.

"You... wanted to see us, Headmaster?" Hideo asked tentatively.

Raizo's back was to them. He apparently was busy perusing something, given the empty folder cover upon the desk. He turned upon his chair, briefly pausing to gaze at his statue. An uncharacteristic look of pity crossed his eyes, but only for a second. He shoves the papers across the desk, and a befuddled Hideo barely managed to grasp them before they hurtled to the floor.

"Are you well aware of what these papers symbolize?" He said.

Hideo shuffled through the papers; they where the Tayakio grant. They had accepted Raizo's request!

"Sir, this is wonderful news!" Hideo exclaimed.

Kyoko nodded with a smile. "Indeed. The money gained from this grant will allow Justice to maintain its reputation as a cutting-edge learning facility. you know, the nurse's office could use an overhaul," she said, her smile turning into a wry smirk...

"Wait," Hideo interrupted his wife. "Why... are you so angry, then?" The two of them looked into Raizo's face. Sure enough, he was nowhere near smiling...

"Reputation as a cutting edge facility? Don't you dare speak of our reputation. Those papers symbolize the FUTURE of this school, a future that is in jeopardy due to our students lack of ethics!!"

Hideo stuttered. "But sir, certainly not all the--"

"I do NOT remember asking for your opinions. Did you see Hijui? A former SCHOLARSHIP student joining a GANG? This has gone too far." He stood up, pulling out a small folder. It read 'Reformed Standards and Procedures."

"We are changing, changing for what I deem to be the best. The entrance requisites are going to be doubled. A four page signed contract for each new student is to be issued, along with a more rigorous interview."

Kyoko tried to interject. "Isn't that a bit overboa--"

"Overboard? A student tries to assault a teacher then laughs at it? The school has been rotting under my feet like termites dwelling in a house. I plan to tear the house down and rebuild it."

He sat down, putting the folder next to him. "But I did not summon you here to let off some steam. I heard of the two syringes found within a certain pair of student's locker."

Hideo nodded. "The problem is being addressed as we speak.. we sent the syringes to be analyzed and--"

"I don't CARE. I want all traces of this event EVER happening to be deleted. And those results are to be private... if it is what I think it is, we are in more trouble then we thought..."

With that response, he glanced at his phone with a smirk. Hideo and Kyoko dared not respond to this. They waited for the end of Raizo's onslaught. Raizo coughed, and stood up.

"I have more pressing matters to attend to. I am leaving this in your hands. Do not let any knowledge of this reach the public. And I want those results on my desk the second they are released. If anything similar happens, I want it removed with no fuss and you are to report to me. Is that understood?"

The pair nodded dutifully. Raizo sighed again then sat down. His face crinkled with worry. "You may leave now. And if we do get this grant, look forward to that revamp you wanted..." A rare smile crept on to his face. While walking outwards, Kyoko paused and looked back, smiling. They left the office, leaving Raizo alone in his cavernous office. But leaving his problems alone with him as well...

"What? Juvenile Hall??" Snarled Mrs. Avalon. She had come almost immediately after hearing what happened to her dear, perfect son Hijui. Once she saw his state, sobbing, she was oblivious to the blatant fact he assaulted a teacher and joined a gang, and only saw her poor child sobbing in a chair.

Miss Anamia tried to quell the distraught mother's anger. "We are well aware of this. The penalty for such an occurrence is fully documented."

"But.. But expelled? You have any idea how much it costs, even at half price, for a single mother to get her child in here? Now you are ripping that away from him, ripping his future away from me?" Burning tears of anger where in her eyes. Anamia sighed, and buzzed her into Raizo's office.

"So you are the blatant excuse for a headmaster of this school!" She snarled, waltzing in. She was fairly bland looking in a green one piece dress, with mildly tussled brown hair. Raizo was damn confused; Anamia had buzzed her in but not warned him of her arrival.

"Excuse me? I am looking out for the well being of this school. And he is a THREAT to the well being!" He winced after saying that; he had gone too far.

"Threat? THREAT? He was ASSAULTED he said, by two teachers. Yikuzaki and YOU! I'm not letting this stand. Although I no longer want him in this FILTH of a school, I am taking this to court. Don't think you can just RUN OVER the lower citizens, Mister Ima.. Wa... Mister Raizo. You'll hear from my lawyer!"

She then stormed out of the office, slamming the door shut. Raizo sighed.. he really didn't need this right now. Finally, the final bell rung. Class was dismissed. But Raizo didn't dismiss himself. Not for a long while...

Raizo was abnormally happy today. It was 7:30 AM on the dot. He had donned his most elaborate white three piece suit, and even had his hair perfectly done. Any minor smudge that was already hidden within his room was gone now; he wanted everything to be perfect for the Tayakio Representative's arrival.

He sat down upon his chair, a smile still on his face. He took out a small white rag, and then began polishing the small obsidian statue on his desk. He frowned when his rag grazed the plague... "High ability is founded on a wholesome body and soul."

Wholesome body and soul....

Suddenly, Anamia buzzed in. "A Naruhito Bakuzaki is here. He says he is the lawyer for Tayakio Enterprise." Raizo heard an odd edge to her voice. Shaking it off, he buzzed in "Excellent. Show him in please."

The double doors opened, and a figure in an all black suit, down to the tie, walked in. He had a stern look in his face, with small black rimmed spectacles over his dark brown eyes. His black hair was combed back, a considerable amount of gel apparently in it. He had a brown attache case, which he gripped with a many gold ringed hang.

"I am Naruhito, representative and lawyer for Tayakio Enterprise." From out of nowhere, he flashed a business card. He set it on the desk in front of Raizo, who only wore a confused expression.

He snapped out of it, and stuck out his hand to be shook. "I am Raizo Iwamano, headmaster of Justice High. A pleasure to meet you." Naruhito refused the gesture, not even bothering to sit down.

"Upon our hearing both the apparent assault upon a young male student and also a second rumor about possible drug usage within your sports department, we have found both these oversights to be too risky for our company to substantially donate to your school."

Raizo stammered. "N-Now wait a second, the reports where not conf--"

Naruhito continued talking, as if he was merely a recording. "We regret you where not the high quality headmaster we hoped you would be. Perhaps in a future instance we can make new arrangements, but as of this time we break all connections with your school. Thank you for your time."

Raizo further stammered as he picked up the folder enclosing the rough draft contracts for the grant, and proceeded to put them in his attache case. He immediately walked out of the room, without so much as a second glance.

Raizo was in shock. He lost the grant... lost the grant due to the idiotic oversights of his own students. His students... his face contorted in rage. And maybe even his own supposed benefactors. He slammed his hand hard on his desk, so hard his obsidian statue bounced off and hit the ground, shattering. The only remaining legible words where 'wholesome body and'

He picked up the phone, and quickly punched in the number.

"Yes? This is Raizo. Damn right I am upset. It seems some of our students came across needles within their lockers; USED needles."

The voice was cheerful as usual, and began to speak of how they had no connections to his event.

"The hell you didn't. The tests from those girls showed them to be CLEAN. Used needles in the locker of two girls who didn't partake of drugs?"

This time the voice stammered a slight bit.

"Its over. Any deals we might have had planned are gone."

Before the voice could respond, he slammed his phone down hard. He sighed. Of course there would be repercussions. He didn't care. He would rebuild his school into its original vision.. even if it kills him.
