"Nightmare" "NIISAN!" a teenager of moderate build and short sandy brown hair shouted to his older brother. "Come over here and look at this view!" He laughed as he ran closer to the end of the beach smiling. He was an older man, in his mid-twenties, with medium-build and thick black hair, Running close to his younger sibling, he suddenly slows down from exhaustion. "Hayate!! Wait up! I don't want you going too far away from me," he panted and kept running until he reached up to the young boy. Hayate sighed looking at his older brother in dismay. "You're getting too old, Kiyaku," he pouted placing his hands on his hips. "I don't know what's worse, you wearing yourself out or me getting faster than you." Kiyaku frowned with disgust at his little brother's overconfident boldness. He kneeled down to him and said, "Someday, Hayate, your boldness will get you in trouble. Just one of these days!" Hayate just laughed at him. "Look at this lovely view!" he told him. A tired Kiyaku placed a hand on his shoulder and shook his head, thinking that Hayate was looking only at the sunset. "Now Hayate-kun," he smiled, "you've been always coming to me about seeing the sun set in the evenings. If that's what you're trying to get me to look at, then we should be going home right now." "NO, NIISAN!" Hayate cried out. "I was looking at the flying fish!" He pointed them out to show Kiyaku. "I wasn't just looking at the sunset. It's rare to see fish flying out this time of day, now don't you think?" His handsome older brother was squinting his eyes to get a good look at the fish. Kiyaku couldn't believe it himself, but Hayate was right. He was able to see the most beautiful flying fish that he had ever seen. "Oh my," he gasped. "I think you're right!" "I told you so," Hayate smiled in return, hearing his stomach growling. "Come to think of it, I'm hungry, niisan. Can we go home now?" "Ha ha ha ha sure kiddo, let's go home and eat. Up we go!" answered Kiyaku standing up and turned the other way. Hayate kept smiling on the way home, noticing this was the happiest time that he had with any of his family members. As soon as they make it home, the smile of Hayate's had dropped to a gasp filled with horror. Kiyaku covered his brother's eyes, not wanting him to see bodies mutilated and the whole house was covered in blood. The man was frowning with anger, looking around that someone was still here. To his surprise, a man with a red suit appeared. Hayate can feel the man's cold personality running through his nerves. "I'm scared, niisan." "Stay back, Hayate!" his brother exclaimed into battle stance, as he stands right in front of him. Kiyaku quickly glanced at Hayate and glared back at the mysterious being. He was having a few bad vibes shivering in his body. This is not good, he thought frowning, he might have killed my brothers and sisters, but I will not let him get near Hayate! "I do not know who you are, but prepare yourself!" He shouted. The man in the red suit just laughed at him and immediately moves in to attack. As he lunged his fist at Kiyaku's face, an angry Kiyaku makes a vicious counter attack by kicking his stomach. The man grabbed his leg and smirked at Kiyaku with murderous intent. "It can't be!" Kiyaku gasped in surprised as he struggled to get free. "No! Niisan!!" cried a frightened Hayate as he looks on. "Hayate! Run far away from here!" Kiyaku demanded. "Run away and get help! NOW!" "I can't leave you, Kiyaku!" Hayate cried once more. His brother was writhing in pain as the man begins to make one sickening twist on his ankle, only to make it shatter even more. "JUST DO IT, HAYATE!" The young boy nodded in tears as he runs as far away from the house as he could. "Heh," the mysterious man chuckled as he pulls his victim closer to him by the shirt. "It's time for you to die." Clenching his fist tightly he prepared for the fatal deathblow. Kiyaku's eyes widened in astonishment as the stranger's ki intensified for the fatal strike. It's over, he thought one last time. My brother, please.take good care. The evil man had smiled at Kiyaku, and with one quick movement, he slammed his fist right through his gut, causing his defeated opponent to cough up a lot of blood, making him dead instantly. The evil being mercilessly threw him to the wall like he was an old rag doll. He licked Kiyaku's blood off his powerful hands, smiling with no sense of remorse. Hayate had noticed a gross feeling in his stomach and stopped to look at the house. "No." he spoke softly, trembling. "Niisan.." Tears of sadness and distraught streamed down his tender cheeks, falling to his knees. "KIIIIIYAAAAAKUUUUUU!!" he cried as his voice echoed in the wilderness.
Hayate bolted up from his bed, his body wrenched in a cold sweat. Breathless he contemplated his dream's reality. Kiyaku, he thought in which he was also thinking of his other brothers and sisters. "One day," he thought, clenching his hands on the sheets, his mind drifting back to the deaths of his former siblings. "I will get you for this, whoever you are.I swear it with my own life." |
