Chapter Archives - Akira

Character Background: The younger of a pair of orphaned siblings, she is the sister of Daigo Kazama - infamous gang leader of what is the roughest reform school in Japan. One day her brother disappeared; an event which fractured Gedo High into several combatting criminal factions and threw Akira's life into disarray. Donning biker leathers and matching helmet she left her generic school and entered Daigo's to avenge him... at any cost. Thus passed the events of Rival Schools, during which she assumed a much different personality from her normal one - the commanding and bold helmeted Akira. And although her brother was eventually found after the battle with Justice High, Akira finds herself having a hard time returning to the person she once was. Daigo has sent her away to the Japanese campus of the posh all-girl Windermere Institute in the hopes that getting away from Gedo will help her.

Character Plans: As I said, Akira is having trouble integrating both parts of her life. Windermere has no room for lone-wolf bikers. Her extreme shyness has kept her from really fitting in, and there's something odd about this particular academy...

Character Strengths: WIth or without the helmet she's calm and in control - extremely cautious and not one to attack for no reason or just 'for fun'. An expert motorcycle rider, Akira's also got an aptitude for mechanics (she had a job in a bike garage). And the fact that her schoolgirl self is almost completely unrecognizable when she's in biker mode can be an advantage in certain situations as well. Practices a form of Kung Fu - taikyoku-ken - and is good at close combat. Has a brother who's... well... a prominent gang lord. Finally, she can cook rather well and speaks fairly fluent English.

Character Weaknesses: In either persona, Akira is extremely quiet. The schoolgirl is a painfully shy wallflower, while the biker is more of lone-wolf type. Terrible at anything requiring group activity, she doesn't connect with people easily at all. Although the schoolgirl can fight just as well as the biker (Akira spends most of her time studying, training, and fixing/riding her bike.. what with the no-friends thing) the schoolgirl is more a self-defence only type. And really, with the Darkstalkers and SF casts about, Akira is only average. With her awkward nature, people can just as easily walk all over the schoolgirl (since she's so eager to please) as the biker would walk over them. Will do anything for her brother. When it comes to fighting, she has no ranged attacks whatsoever.
