Yun Chapter 5

"Crowded Street - Hong Kong Action Edit, Part 1"

Wheels of a red skateboard whirred merrily. Yun, perched atop, hummed to himself an equally cheerful tune. He skillfully rode around the bystanders, tipping his hat at the occasional cute girl. Yun loved life. He believed in living life to the fullest and having fun. Sometimes he wished Yang would share these moments with him, but Yang had his own point of view. Yun respected that. Where Yang would sit and mope, Yun would not think about problems and take the initiative.

"Forget about yesterday when all you could do was hug your knees and sigh... believe in yourself. Maybe it will turn out fine, yeah, so I’m sure it will turn out fine. Your chance is right in front of you --- It’s fine... it’s sure to be OK!" he sang to himself.

What Yun didn't tell anyone was that before he left home that day, his grandmother told him that a shipment of mangos was coming this day. As a safety precaution, the shipment will be brought at the skateboarding ramps Yun frequents. In that way, the supplies would come, masked as a few delivery men meeting Yun by chance at the ramps. Yun's instincts told him there would be danger. That's the main reason why he didn't tell Yang the entire truth. There's a difference between not telling the whole truth and outright lying.

In no time he arrived at the ramps. A group of thugs were terrorizing the children. The older ones tried to fend them off but to no avail. Yun skidded to a halt.

"If there's one thing I hate, it's pricks who don't pick on people their own size!"

The thugs halted their activities. They chuckled. "Well if it isn't the grand champion of the underground fighting ring, Yun Lee. We've been expecting you. We have the mangos you want. Take them and leave."

One thug gestured to a crate the size of a dumpster. Yun, however, ignored them. All that mattered to him were the crying faces of the children and the bad condition their would-be defenders were in. He approached the thugs, cracking his knuckles. He was furious. If there was one thing Yun Lee could not stand, it was bullies who pick on the weak and helpless.

"Don't EVER mess with those smaller than you! You understand?!"

Yun flew forward, fist outstretched, nailing one of the thugs in the jaw. A patented attack - Zesho Hohou. There was a loud crack. The thug fell to the ground, unconscious. His jaw was broken. Yun stood straight. "Is there anyone else who wants to be taught a lesson?" he demanded.

Many other thugs came crawling out of the bushes. Estimated around 15. Yun showed no signs of fear for he was too angry. The look in his eyes was cold and unreadable, the same look he gets when he is in a battle.

One thug raised his hand. "Let's teach this cocky brat a lesson. Charge!"

Yun fought with all his might. He managed to KO 6 of them. However, one young man, even as great a fighter as Yun, was no match for many. He was caught by a surprise chop to the back of his neck. Wordlessly, he fell to the ground, unconscious. Chuckling at their deed, the men buried Yun and his skateboard into the mango crate and took off.

The mango crate was promptly taken into the Lee's grocery. No questions asked, though Yang eyed the men suspiciously. A woman passed by, absentmindedly feeling each of the mangos while she admired her baby daughter. She came upon a strange mango.

'Odd...this one is as hard as a rock. And it's warm.'

Something under the mangos stirred. Yun burst out from underneath. The woman, realizing she was squeezing his bicep, screamed and blushed furiously. Yun growled angrily.

"Why those bastards...!" Yun growled.

Yun looked over his shoulder and saw the woman. He pried her hand off of his arm and in its place put in her hand a ripe mango. He hopped down, smiled at the baby, shoved his hands in his pockets and marched away grumbling. From behind the counter, Yang passively watched his brother.

"Big brother, are you all right?" he asked, concerned, as Yun passed in front of him.

"I'll get those bastards if it's the last thing I do." Yun said. He looked at Yang and grinned. "It's fine, absolutely OK!"
