"Dreams"
I watch the sea with pain and regret, But for you to see my sadness is what I will not let. When Yang was young, his grandmother would constantly repeat to him those words. They reminded him of his brother. The sun disappeared behind the horizon and now night shrouded Yang's half of the world. He decided to cease travelling for now. The question is - where to stop? He was in the middle of a valley after all. Whispering a call to him was a willow tree. Yang took the invitation and rested underneath. He stretched his arms, then slid back. He looked at the stars. He never had the chance to see the sky this clear. Living in his busy Hong Kong city, all he was able to see was the reflection of street lights in the sky. Now he was in the wilderness, the sky showed him its charm - the clear darkness and the twinkling stars. 'Beautiful,' Yang thought, 'I wish big brother were here to see this.' "Nah..." Yang imagined his brother shrugging, "I couldn't care less. Stop daydreaming, little bro', and watch how great I am." 'Brother...' Yang hugged his knees, then commenced his near-nightly ritual of quietly sobbing. Gods, he felt so weak. Even more so without Yun to hug and protect him. Even more so with the fact that Yun looked down on him. Before he knew it, he cried himself to sleep. 'Gods...I'm so weak.'
"Ha ha ha...C'mon, Yang, you gotta see this!" a nine year old Yun cried. An equally aged Yang trailed behind Yun, panting slightly then gripping Yun's hand on arrival. He peered curiously at his elder brother, then followed the finger's trail to an object inside the store window. A wide smile of awe crept on Yang's face. "Wow, it's so cute!" Yun grinned. "Leave it to your big brother to know what you like." This was the first time Yang discovered Hello Kitty. A large, stuffed Hello Kitty plush. With an outstretched hand, Yun gestured for Yang to stay outside. The older brother entered the store, then exited with that same Hello Kitty plush. Yang's eyes had never glittered any brighter, and he welcomed the plush into his arms. "Thank you so much, big brother!" "Anytime," Yun replied with a tip of his cap. It was getting late. The brothers collectively decided to return home in case grandmother was worried. On the way home, a group of average schoolyard bullies approached them. Yang narrowed his eyes, holding back slightly, while Yun stood protectively in front of his brother. "How cute," jeered the gang leader, "the big brother's protecting his girly little brother. And look, the girly little brother even has a girly little Hello Kitty doll. Aww..." Yun clenched his fist. "You step away from my brother!" Somehow, Yang - recently aged - was able to step in and watch the scene. He remembered this so well. Yun fought his heart out, and Yang huddled in the corner, clutching his newfound Hello Kitty doll. Pathetic... The battle was soon over. Yun easily took care of the punks with no visible scratches. He grinned and extended a hand to Yang. "Let's go." Young Yun and Yang faded into the distance. Yang was now alone in the Hong Kong streets of his dream. He now realized how pathetic he was. He sat hugging his knees again, sulking, and came to be hugging a wet object. In surprise, he glanced at the object in his arms - his Hello Kitty doll stained with tears. And carrying his brother's scent. "Big brother...?" Yang wondered aloud. "You're such a pain in the ass!" he heard Yun cry. "I hate you, Yang! I... I hate you...!" Then blackness.
The bright sunlight awoke Yang. He blinked a few times, then surveyed his surroundings. Already without Tsuchin or Yun to say, "Good morning", he was feeling depressed. His body was somewhat sore. He struggled to his feet, but shakily, as he was weak from hunger. "Something to eat..." he muttered to himself. Then he walked away, on instinct that it was the kitchen.
"So, tell me, Mistress Succubus. What about this plan of yours?" asked a curious flunkie, 2 hours after breakfast. Succubus leaned over the boat edge, watching the endless horizon. Her hair blew in the sea breeze. "A simple deal of mind over matter. What relationship do Yun and Yang share?" "Ah... they're twins?" "Correct. Not only that, have you noticed that there is rarely a time they are apart? They share a special bond - that of a soul mate. Each spirit in the universe comes in pairs. These pairs are soul mates, whether they be lovers, enemies, siblings or whatnot. This certain pair of soul mates - Yun and Yang - share such a close bond that when separated, they are literally torn apart mentally. Thus, no one knows what sort of mental trauma they will face when being separated for so long. With a little push and shove, cute kitten Yang is suffering from both his inferiority complex towards his brother, and realizing how needy he is without his brother's protection. As for the elder Yun, I wager he is feeling a little lonely without his moral support. Even if they try to hide the pain, even if they try to be strong, they can't deny their aching hearts. And perhaps, their mental trauma will become physical." The flunkie scratched his head. "Ah... yes, ma'am, but what should happen if they come back together?" An evil smile crept Succubus' lips. "That will never happen." Unknown to Succubus and the flunkie, a lone figure was listening to them from the opposite end of the boat. He was hidden behind the elevated doorway so they were unable to see him. He rose to his tall height and brushed away some locks of his blue hair. "We shall see."
