Character Background: Mariah can be considered a relatively rare breed of Stand user. She
was born with her stand, something that happens only in very rare instances. Her
stand was generally unknown, until a violent incident involving her father
caused her Stand to finally activate, and in her hatred her father was smitten
by her magnetic powers. His death was painful to say the least. She was
traumatized, seeing her hated father die and hating herself for enjoying it.
Living through her young life, she was laughed at and generally unpopular. Soon, she swallowed her dislike for slaughter and her humanity and began inflicting those who crossed her with Bast’s power. Soon, she would do this to anyone who crossed her, enjoying following them and watching their plights, taunting them at their dying moments. Upon entering High School, her perfect body and scant clothing made her the popular target for men. After meeting someone whom apparently respected her, after a brief fling she found out he had used her. Angered, she amplified Bast’s magnetic spark through her own body, stroking her former lover’s face tenderly as she left. Within seconds, the entire room was ripped apart and crushed him. Now, Mariah is an 18 year old currently residing in Taiyo. She has dropped out of school, her hatred for males being amplified due to the fact she enjoyed her brief fling. Living life to its fullest, which mainly includes being a black widow at shoddy bars and drinking beers, all she cares about now is having fun. Character Plans: Mariah is going to be rather peeved when her favorite nightclub is burned to the ground by a Mafia type organization. Angered, she’s going to track down the small grouping and give them a dose of pain. Also, she tends to get pointless attractions to people she sees only once, and this can lead her into some odd situations. Especially if they submit to her advances. Also, oddly enough, Mariah has been constantly approached by a mysterious figure, saying he could vastly increase Bast’s strength. She thus far has turned them down of each occasion, but their roots are still a mystery to her. Character Strengths: She is a master of magnetism, able to channel Bast’s powers through herself to cause people to become immensely magnetic in seconds, or shocking them incognito with Bast’s innocent appearance and laughing as they slowly die. Also, she can magnetize objects as well as people, especially enjoying causing a metal donned opponent to suddenly fly against a wall, helpless to escape. Character Weaknesses: Mariah completely distrusts any males. Abused by them on so many levels, she sees them as toys she is very adept at playing with. Also, she has a sadistic streak, and always follows someone smitten by her powers to watch them in anguish, confronting them before they finally die. This poses a problem, since she could so easily kill anyone if she’d zap them and walk away. |
