Character Background: Makoto is the heir to the Rindoukan style of karate. Is was once quite popular, but her father (the main instructor) has suffered from declining health. As a result, the Dojo's students have left and the dojo may go bankrupt and close. Makoto has begun to follow the path of a travelling street fighter to attract more people to her style and dojo... over her father's objections, it seems. (I get the impression that despite her ability, he still considers her 'his little girl..')

Character Plans: Makoto is seeking the legendary Ryu Hoshi to challenge him, but also knows her family dojo needs money quickly, so is entering fights and tournaments to win cash prizes. Unconsciously, she is also looking for a friend and might hook up with any number of other characters. She has a rivalry going with Ibuki (they attended the same school, I think) and has heard of the legendary Twin Dragons, Yun and Yang, and might seek out any or all of them at some point. It's also possible she could be drawn into the Darkstalkers' world by the promise of wealth or strength... but at this point, who knows?

Character Strength: The translation of her name sums it up: 'Sincerity' or 'Wholeheartedness.' She fights with all her heart, and throws that same strength and determination into everything she does. She may go down, but she don't quit!

Character Weakness: She's kind of headstrong, she has a temper, and she'd risk almost *anything* to help her dojo and her family... so the promise of money or other methods to revive the Dojo could lure her into situations she can't get out of...
