Kyosuke put on his jacket, picked up his backpack and put it over his right shoulder. He picked his glasses up off of the dresser and put them on, adjusting them in the mirror. When he was finished he glanced down towards the picture frame on his dresser. It was a picture of him and Hyo together, the one he had shattered the day before. After the incident, he had calmed down, swept up the glass and placed the picture back on the desser without it. Kyosuke shook his head, leaving the room and closing the door. "Seeya." A voice interrupted from inside the living room. The voice was of Kyosuke's cousin, Koji. Kyosuke had been living with him since the last five years following his mother's sudden disappearance. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance were confusing, and the investigating team that was working on her case found no leads. Kyosuke had been in his house during the ordeal, so police had been baffled that the boy had said that he had known nothing. He said that he had slept soundly, even through the commotion. After her disappearance, Kyosuke's cousin Koji Kazayami had volunteered to watch the boy, even though he was only 24 years old. Kyosuke appreciated Koji's help, but he had always been a very quiet person, keeping to himself , even when he needed help. "Goodbye." Kyosuke replied softly, closing the apartment door behind him. Koji picked up the magazine he had been reading, continuing to read.
Sinsuke slammed his locker shut, turning to leave the school. "Hi Sinsuke!" A girl waved from the next corner. He flashed his smile and the girl almost fainted. I've had to keep this phony grin on my face the whole day. These girls have been doing this since I came to this school. No matter, they're not going to slow my progress one bit. Sinsuke headed out the door and walked to his dorm. He flicked the switch on his laptop and started to type. Project: Hyo has been moving along smoothly. Tokiyara has brainwashed the girl and we have her in our custody. I have successfully infiltrated Justice High School accordingly. I await my orders. A beeping sound confirmed the email having been sent. Sinsuke put his legs onto the desk, leaning back in his chair and putting his arms behind his head.
"Hinata!" Sayuri ran up to her friend, almost falling over. "Hi Sayuri." Hinata said, trying to smile. Sayuri said nothing, then started to talk. "What's wrong?" asked Sayuri. "Did you hear about the missing girl?" Hinata asked. "Yeah, Mona or Minnie or something, I think." Sayuri said, nodding. "She's been missing since the Taiyo - Pacific thing, right? "Her name's Mina." Hinata said, "She's my best friend. Since we were really small." "Oh, I'm sorry." Sayuri said quietly, sighing. "It's okay." Hinata said, starting to cry. They headed up the hallway toward the dorms. Sayuri walked quietly, then flinched. "I've got to check my e-mail! I'll meet you back here in a few minutes." Sayuri said, heading up the stairs and leaving Hinata at the landing. She opened the door, walking to the computer. She pressed a few keys and accessed her email site. "Yeah, 4 new e-mails." She said. "Save 10% on your next credit card, Junk, Free new car, Junk, Get a good mortgage, Junk." She pressed the delete key on the e-mails. Here's the good stuff.
She looked at the screen.
Good, it's going well. I wasn't sure Sinsuke could handle it. She clicked the "Reply" Button, starting to type. I've infiltrated Taiyo and Hinata has no idea what's going on. Proceed to Step 2. Sayuri pressed "send", turning the computer off and heading out the door and down the stairs. "Done?" Hinata asked. "Yeah." Sayuri replied. The two girls headed down the stairwell toward the door.
Kyosuke headed out of his last class with Batsu, heading out the door with him towards the exit. They started to walk down towards their houses and they split up to opposite sides of the street like always; Kyosuke had to make a turn on the left, and Batsu on the right. They both stopped when they heard a girl screaming from the small field nearby, running towards the field. The girl was running back towards the street, screaming for help. She spotted Batsu running over and called to him. "There's a guy chasing me with a sword!" She said, panting. Batsu saw someone come out of the woods running toward the girl. "Hyo!?" Batsu said, running towards him. "What the hell are you doing?!" Batsu doubled over in pain as Hyo punched him hard in the stomach. "Wha-" Batsu said as he fell to his knees, holding his stomach with his right arm. Batsu fell down to the ground, still holding his stomach. Kyosuke ran up to Hyo, who had been laughing over Batsu. "Shut Up!" Kyosuke screamed as he swung his leg up to kick Hyo in the chin. Hyo flew back to the ground, holding his cheek. "What's wrong with you!?" Kyosuke said, panting. "Why don't you tell me, Kyosuke?" Hyo said, twisting his leg to trip Kyosuke. "What's wrong!?" Hyo yelled sarcastically, kicking Kyosuke in the stomach. Kyosuke held in the pain, getting up and doing a backflip into Hyo's chin. Hyo fell to the ground and slowly got up. He took out his sword, moving towards Kyosuke. Hyo swung at Kyosuke's chest with all of his strength. Kyosuke swung his foot to the left, kicking the sword out of Hyo's hands. The sword flew back at Hyo , and the blade hit his forehead just enough to cause bleeding. "You fool!" Hyo said, holding his forehead. "I'll deal with you soon enough!" Hyo ran off, holding his forehead with one hand. Kyosuke stood in the center of the field, motionless. "Yeah!" the girl screamed, running up to hug Kyosuke. "Thanks a lot! I was so scared." Kyosuke did not move, still staring towards where Hyo had run. The girl left, picking up her bag and starting to walk away. "That's exactly what I wanted you to do, Kyosuke, Thanks a lot." thought Sayuri, heading back home with her bag.
Hyo walked out of his last class of the day silently and started to walk towards his dorm. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Batsu, standing in the front of the school with an angry look on his face. Hyo said nothing, he had no idea why Batsu would be at his school. Batsu started to talk. "I don't know what you think you're doing, Hyo, but I'm stopping you one way or another!", Batsu screamed at Hyo. Hyo looked confused. "What are you talking -" Hyo was cut off by Batsu's screaming voice. "Who do you think I am?! You were trying to attack an innocent girl! You punched me in the stomach, and-" Batsu screamed, "I don't need to explain anything to you, dirtbag!" Hyo looked even more confused. "I don't have any idea what you're talking about." Hyo said calmly, "I haven't done anything wrong." Batsu screamed, running up to Hyo and starting to beat on him. "You liar!" Batsu screamed, hitting Hyo. After a few minutes of this, one of the teachers managed to pull him off of Hyo, who had been taking a beating. "What did you think you were doing?" said Mr. Tokiyara, who had been walking by when he saw the commotion. "Raizo's gonna have some fun with you." Tokiyara said grabbing Batsu's collar and heading toward the building. "Lets go." Batsu punched Tokiyara in the stomach, running out the school gate and down the street. "Who was that?!" Tokiyara screamed, holding his stomach. "Batsu Ichjimonji." Replied Hyo softly, turning to leave to his dorm.
The lunchroom at Taiyo High could never be called quiet, but it was where Kyosuke was sitting. All day rumors about the trouble Batsu had caused at Justice High had been spreading and Kyosuke had found out earlier in the day. When he confronted Batsu, he would not answer his questions and had stormed away. Normally, Kyosuke would be sitting with Batsu, but Kyosuke was too frustrated to even think about it. "He had a right to do it but." Kyosuke thought, shaking his head. He picked up his bag, walking out of the lunchroom.
Batsu sat alone in the lunchroom, talking to no one. No one would talk to him either, you don't just start a friendly conversation with Batsu Ichjimonji. It always led to some kind of a confrontation; and Batsu would beat you down. "I don't see what's wrong with Kyosuke, Hyo attacked him, too. I thought I'd do everyone a favor by just beating the bastard down!", Batsu thought. Batsu turned to the door, seeing Kyosuke leaving the lunchroom. Batsu sighed, turning his attention back to his lunch.
Hyo sat in his room with a washcloth over the cut he had just gotten on his arm from Batsu's assault. "Something's going on." Hyo said to himself. Hyo picked up some of his things, putting them into a bag as he spoke. "For a week or two now, there's been trouble. Mr. Tokiyara brainwashing some girl in the school, reports about attacks, but no one can help the problem at all.", Hyo finished packing the bag, putting it over his shoulder. " No one knows who's behind it or what their reasons are. And now today, I was attacked by one of my brother's closest friends and accused of attacking people!", Hyo walked towards the door, opening it and starting to leave. "I just don't know what to think. But I'm stopping the insanity no matter what!" |
