Character Bio
Character Background: Cody Onohan was raised on the streets of Metro City, the crime capital of the United States for years. He lived with both his mother and father. Although a rarity in Metro City for a child to have both his/her parents living together, Cody’s father was an alcoholic and often beat Cody and his mother on the many drunken nights upon returning home. Cody’s father left the family when Cody was twelve, leaving a threat that one day, he’d return to kill him and his mother. Filled with sadness and anger, Cody's wish was to be strong, both physically and mentally, and was positive it would come true. He was determined to protect himself and his mother. Cody is a neutral person, and only wanted to fight a person if they wanted to fight him. Cody took an interest in boxing, as well as kickboxing -- going through his childhood fighting and helping his depressed mother get through life. Upon turning twenty-one, Cody packed his bags and moved out to an apartment in downtown Metro City. It was there that he met and fell in love with a girl named Jessica Haggar, the daughter of newly elected mayor, Michael Haggar. They soon became very close. One day, Cody had gotten word of a large gang called the Mad Gears, who kidnapped the mayor’s daughter in ransom. Cody, along with Haggar and Guy fought the Mad Gear on the streets of Metro City, ultimately defeating Belgar and his posse. Character Plans: A year after the defeat of the Mad Gears, Jessica, along with Cody, went missing. Haggar put up reward posters throughout the city about asking information about his daughter and his would-be son-in-law, but nothing was heard of them for months. Arriving home, he learned of Jessica’s disappearance and sought Haggar for more information. Upon approaching City Hall, Cody was taken into custody and questioned. Little did he know that there was an arrest warrant for him. Cody pleaded with the officials and Haggar, saying that he was innocent and that he was out in Mexico returning a favor to an old friend. However, without any evidence on hand and his friend without a phone, Haggar had no choice but to lock him up. A month passed by, where he escaped from prison while inmates were starting a commotion in the cafeteria. He currently is hiding in Ontario, Canada, figuring out a way to prove his innocence. Character Strengths: Cody is strong, combining both speed and power. He’s also smart -- by book and streets. Cody is an excellent fighter, but it’s usually his mind that brings him out of troublesome situations. If he sees a weakness, he doesn’t hesitate to put the pressure on. Cody is also skilled with knives, both close and far, as he has perfect aim with them. Loyal to the end, he never hesitates to help a friend in need, nor does he show any mercy to those who hurt him or his friends. Character Weakness: There is no doubt that Cody is a capable fighter, able to hold his own ground and protect himself when the time arises. However, he loses confidence if he can’t outsmart an opponent or if an opponent is outsmarting him. He has no difficulty in telling his true feelings to people, often rubbing them the wrong way or making a person feel bad. Sometimes he accidentally blurts something out and he’s called to it. This gives him difficulty making friends and oftentimes, he spends his time alone. |
